Dree Hemingway

I think we will see more from this stylish model Dree Hemingway in the time to come. Love her modern classic style with an cutting edge. With her actress/model mother Mariel Hemingway, and even more famous great grand father Ernest Hemingway as close relatives, no wonder she is so talented and beautiful.

the wonderful world of moomin

I want this book so badly. I found this book by Tove Jansson "Den store mummiboken" (the big moomin book) in my mums book collection. The colorful illustrations are stunning, and it brings back alot of special childhood memories. Those were the days....

Grey gardens

I have wanted to see the film documentary "Grey gardens" for a while now, and i finally got to see it yesterday.
Grey Gardens is a
1975 documentary film by Albert and David Maysles. It is about an old mother and her middle-aged daughter, the aunt and cousin of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, and they live their eccentric lives in a filthy, decaying mansion in East Hampton. The two women lived together at Grey Gardens for decades with limited funds, resulting in squalor and almost total isolation.

The documentary is fascinating in its own chaotic and odd way, but it is the middle aged daughter Edith "Little Edie" Bouvier Beale that realy fascinates me. She is a real inspiration. She lives in the country totally isolated with only the company of her mother, some cats and racoons, but she still manages to put on some amazing outfits. Her dress sense is outstanding! Even if you dont live in an urban city you can still dress up, wear make up and use high heels around the house. This woman is a true fashion icon!
i also love the fact that for her age she still seems so youthful. This woman is an example of how a mature woman can still look sexy, youthful and be creative with the way she dresses herself. You dont have to wear frumpy clothes, just because you have turned 40. YOU GO GIRL!
